We hate to get involved in the game of dribbling info out in order to keep people coming back, but when the automaker imposes strict embargoes if you want any info at all, ya gotta play the game.

Toyota will unveil its new model – actually a remake of an existing model – at 6:30 pm Pacific Time on Feb. 10.

Meantime, the automaker has decided it is now okay to let you know that it indeed is what we’ve been speculating about – a redesigned Highlander three-row crossover with a battery-electric powerplant.

We’ll have more details on Highlander EV powertrains, drivetrains and main features, plus a photo that – we hope – reveals the whole vehicle, as soon as the final embargo lifts on the 10th.

Today’s teaser from Toyota makes it clear that at least one trim level will have all-wheel drive, which, in an EV, means dual motors and a nice boost in horsepower and torque from the single-motor front- and rear-drive versions.

For the full breakdown, check back with us Tuesday evening: 6:30 pm Pacific, 9:30pm Eastern.
