- First Cadillac EV with V-Series Credentials
- No Word Yet on Specs, Features
Cadillac has confirmed what’s long been hinted at -there will be a high-performance Lyriq-V and it will debut as a 2026 model.
That’s all the automaker has confirmed so far, dropping the two photos we’re sharing and promising more info as launch date – sometime in 2025 – gets closer.
The official word from Caddy is that the all-electric 2026 Lyriq-V will be “a stunning technical achievement, pushing the performance pedigree of the preeminent sub-brand to new heights.” That sub-brand, of course, is the V-Series.
We expect that means the Lyriq-V will be lower, more powerful than the current 500-horsepower, 450-lb.-ft. all-wheel drive version, perhaps a bit more muscular-looking (bigger grille openings, fatter tires?) with sportier suspension, beefier brakes and, of course, special V-Series badging, unique interiors and special exterior colors.
From the photos supplied by Cadillac, we can see V badging on the rear fascia and lower rear doors, the same upper grille as the Sport 3 trim in the standard Lyriq lineup and mesh inserts in the lower grille openings. It’s hard to tell from the photo if the grille openings are larger to let in more electronics-cooling air and whether the wheels and tires are larger.
